The Brazilian Federal Police only accepts proof of psychological fitness issued by an accredited psychologist. Our psychologists hold this accreditation and serve everyone who needs this document.

  • Do not drink alcohol in the 24 hours before the evaluation
  • Eat before the evaluation.
  • No need to study: the tests measure traits that cannot be trained.

Before you book

Who carries out the evaluation?

Psychologists registered with the Regional Psychology Council (CRP) and accredited by the Brazilian Federal Police to assess psychological fitness to handle firearms.

Is the report accepted by the Federal Police?

Yes. The evaluation is carried out by psychologists accredited by the Federal Police, as required by the Disarmament Statute (Law 10.826/2003), and follows the tests and criteria set by the Federal Police.

What is the evaluation like?

It is individual and in person: an interview and a battery of psychological tests that assess the cognitive functions and personality traits suited to the responsible handling of firearms.

How long does it take?

Set aside a morning or an afternoon. It takes about 1h30 on average, varying from person to person. The report delivery time is confirmed when you book.

What if the result is "unfit"?

The psychologist records the result of the evaluation, fit or unfit, and no professional can guarantee approval. If the result is unfit, Federal Police rules allow you to retake the evaluation after 30 days with another Federal Police-accredited professional.
